Saved from the Fire
This project was inspired by a brief to collate 100 objects, I decided on the concept of a series of 10 zines called ‘Saved from the fire’. Each zine would share 10 objects a family member would’ve saved from a house fire and would become short biographical pieces. This first one is based on a list written by my late Grandad whose cottage was full of curiosities, I liked the idea of having a permanent and entirely handmade record of his stories. I wanted to focus on the memories behind the objects rather than the objects themselves as I hold these of higher value.
