During the first lockdown I collaborated remotely with another student (@fleurh_design) on a live brief set by Dyson. We worked together to produce a set of outcomes promoting MarinaTex – a new home compostable plastic alternative made using fishing industry waste and invented by Lucy Hughes, winner of the 2019 James Dyson award. We identified MarinaTex’s contribution towards a circular economy as it’s main USP and decided to make this a prominent element of the logo, each fish represents one of MT's 4 values, combined they form a circle symbolising Lucy’s strive towards a circular economy. Our work was chosen as the winning set of outcomes for Falmouth University.
